Skënder Hita's message to police officers: Avoid stopping vehicles on the road without reason

The Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita, held meetings with the staff of the Tirana Traffic Police Commissariat and then with the Department of Public Security, the deputy directors for Order in the regions and the heads of the Road Traffic Sectors.
During the meetings, Hita requested special attention and commitment from all managers and employees, with the aim of increasing road safety parameters and preventing any abusive acts in the field.
"No more stopping vehicles on national highways without reason, but use technology, police scanners, speed cameras and drones, as technology is the future. Administrative measures produced by these tools should be implemented in the system within a day," said Hita.
It also called for rigorous control with working groups and action plans in urban centers, for incorrect parking, incorrect maneuvers, noise generated by modified exhausts, driving under the influence of alcohol or while intoxicated, and for any violation that poses a risk to traffic and the safety of road users.
The tourist season, road safety near schools, but also safety in schools, were other points for which Director Hita gave instructions for increased attention and cooperation and coordination with the General Patrols and the "Eagles".
In conclusion, the General Director emphasized that the Traffic Police and all Public Order Police services must be a model in behavior, reaction and action, providing the most cultured service to citizens and with maximum integrity.
