"Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire with Iran", White House: NATO turned its back on the US

The White House has clarified that Lebanon is not part of the recent ceasefire agreement with Iran, while on the other hand it has conveyed the message of President Donald Trump, who has hardened his tone towards NATO.
White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt stressed that Lebanon was not included in the agreement reached the day before, adding that this position had been communicated to all parties.
"Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire," she declared, also referring to the position of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has underlined that Israel still has objectives to fulfill.
Asked whether the US administration would like Lebanon to be included in the ceasefire, Leavitt said that the issue remains open for discussion, but is not currently part of the agreement.
Meanwhile, in another development, Leavitt also shared a message from Trump on relations with NATO, where the US president criticized the alliance for its recent stance.
"It is quite sad that NATO has turned its back on the American people over the last six weeks. It is the American people who have funded its defense," she quoted Trump as saying.
According to the White House, Trump is expected to hold a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Washington, where a direct discussion is expected on relations within the alliance and current security challenges.
