"Metamorphosis", GJKKO sentences Pëllumb Gjoka to 6 years in prison

The Special Court found businessman Pëllumb Gjoka guilty and sentenced him to 6 years in prison. He faces charges of creating conditions to commit murder, criminal group and corruption.

Gjoka was acquitted of the charge of illegal possession of weapons. Ardit Hasanbegaj, a former police officer, was sentenced to 5 years in prison. Both were arrested as part of the operation codenamed Metamorphosis.

Gjoka and members of the Bajri criminal group are being tried under ordinary procedure on charges of the murder of Gjin Ndoji in 2020 in Vau e Dejës.
