Bishop of Vau i Dejës, Simon Kulli, passes away at the age of 52

The bishop of Vau Dejës, Simon Kulli, has passed away. According to sources, the 52-year-old suffered a stroke from high blood pressure and unexpectedly passed away this morning.
Simon Kulli was appointed as administrator of the diocese of Sapa in Vau Dejës in 2016, while in 2017 the Pope appointed him bishop of that diocese.
Simon Kulli replaced Bishop Luciano Avgustini, who also passed away prematurely after a serious illness.
The Catholic Church of Albania is expected to issue official announcements about the funeral ceremony and then consider the new leader of that diocese.
Simon Kulli served with great dedication for 9 consecutive years, dedicating his life to God and the believers.
