Ancelotti before the challenge with Haiti: Brazil must do better, I will make changes to the lineup!

Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti has demanded a reaction from his team ahead of their second match at the 2026 World Cup against Haiti, following the disappointing draw against Morocco in the Selecao's debut.
At the pre-match press conference, the Italian coach admitted that Brazil's performance in the first match was not at the expected level and announced changes to the starting lineup.
"The team can and must do better. We will make some changes, maybe we will activate fresher players. We need to improve in terms of balance and quality of play. We need to make fewer mistakes in passing. We have the necessary quality to do this and to develop a beautiful match", declared Ancelotti.
The Brazilian coach stressed that he has no problem revealing the lineup, but prefers to communicate it with the players first.
"I have no problem making the starting lineup public. Football has no secrets, but I prefer to tell the players first," he said.
Analyzing the challenge with Morocco, Ancelotti was self-critical and sought quick solutions to the identified problems.
"The match against Morocco did not go well and this makes me critical of the team. We need to find a solution. We have been working during these days to improve the situation and I believe we will succeed, because I continue to have confidence that this team will be competitive in this World Cup," he said.
Ancelotti also listed the aspects where Brazil needs to improve to restore its level.
"We need to do many things well: defend as a group, attack with quality, use individual talent, be aggressive in the offensive phase and organized in defense, both inside and outside the area," emphasized the Italian coach.
In the end, he praised the next opponent, warning that Haiti should not be underestimated.
"Haiti is a very balanced team, with good physical qualities and excellent organization. They have a clear game system and play good football with the characteristics they possess. We must respect every opponent, because this is a World Cup and all the teams are maximally motivated," concluded Ancelotti.
