Brazilian President Lula jokes about Neymar: "The first player was called while working from home"

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva joked about Neymar's call-up to the national team for the World Cup, despite the forward's injury delaying his return to the field, calling him "the first player in the world to be called up while working from home."

The joke happened during a public event, during a conversation with a child in the audience. While discussing sports and gender equality, Lula asked the young man if he had ever seen Marta, the six-time world champion, play.

After he said No, he asked who he thought was the best player in the Seleção today. "Neymar," the boy replied. At that point, Lula reminded the audience that the striker had not yet entered the field to be seen.
