We know what you got/ Tax ultimatum to apartment owners: Pay taxes on profits from Book

The Tax Administration has announced that it has detailed data on reservations and income generated by individuals and businesses in Albania through the Booking.com platform.

According to data for the period January-September 2025, a total of over 80 million euros in reservations were registered, while the platform's commissions amounted to around 12.8 million euros. Over 17 thousand entities and individuals who offered accommodation were involved in this activity.

In this context, Taxes calls on all beneficiaries of income from this platform to declare them in the Annual Personal Income Declaration for 2025.

The institution emphasizes that businesses should verify the consistency of their declarations with the platform's data, to avoid tax reassessments.

According to the Tax Administration, failure to declare income constitutes a legal violation and is accompanied by penalties according to the legislation in force./ Skyweb
