"The accusation against me is weak and lame"/ Lubonja responds to

Analyst Fatos Lubonja commented on Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements towards him today at the meeting of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group.

In an interview with News24, he stated that the prime minister's attempt to make him a "persecutor" is weak and lame. Lubonja said that Rama has all the powers in his hands, while he only has the power of free speech.

Lubonja emphasized that she made it clear to Rama when he had just become mayor of Tirana that he was dangerous for politics, the country, and himself.

"This accusation of making me a persecutor like those of the past is weak and very lame because they were people who had power, the police and security, and we were weak and powerless. While today it is the opposite, this gentleman has the power. He has the police, everything.

I have the strength and power of free speech, so comparing me to them is weak and unfounded. I have simply done my duty as an intellectual and journalist by raising problems. I have told him since he became mayor that you are dangerous, you should leave politics. You are dangerous both for politics and for the country, but also for yourself," he said.
