Belinda Balluku, despite having lost power in the Government, seeks to strengthen her positions in the party and especially in the Fier Region, where she is a leader.
It has long been reported that she has open clashes with Mayor Armando Subashi, and her recent actions best demonstrate this.
The Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Council, Fatbardha Merkaj, who is reported to be a confidant of Balluk, has requested a meeting of the Council on Thursday, where she requests, among other things, that the dismissal of the Mayor of the Municipal Council, Antoneta Çunaj, be put to a vote.
The letter published by Vox News does not give the reasons for this request, but it is clearly seen as a continuation of the Balluku-Subashi "war" in Fier.
