The condition of the minor involved in the accident in the former Këneta area in Durrës appears to be serious.
The Ministry of Health announces that the 8-year-old is currently hospitalized at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana and presents with multiple injuries.
"He is conscious, but in serious condition," the ministry's official response states.
At noon today, 3 minor boys, 2 brothers and their cousin were playing on the sidewalk near their residential area in neighborhood no. 15 in Durrës, when the vehicle driven by 57-year-old Nikoll Radaçi ran them over, causing the instant death of 2 boys, one of them the brother of the 8-year-old who was seriously injured, and their cousin.
Police announced that they have detained the driver of the vehicle and have seized video footage of the accident, recorded by a business camera located near the scene.
