The Syri editorial office has obtained the file of the Rraja group, which includes Rexhep Rraja, the son of former Socialist MP Rrahman Rraja, who are accused of trafficking large amounts of drugs to Europe. In just 3 episodes that have been seized, 2.4 tons of marijuana and cocaine have been trafficked to European Union countries.
In the file obtained by Syri TV journalist Fatjon Gjinaj, SPAK accuses Rexhep Rraja as one of the main orderers and organizers of the 236 kg of cannabis shipment that was seized in Turkey.
In order to collect evidence related to the documentation of criminal activity, the identification of organizers and other collaborators of the persons under investigation, the data of SkyEcc PIN 1E68Y3 (Gazmir Rraja) were administered by registered letter by the French authorities, where from the analysis of the communications it emerges that one of the main orderers and organizers of the narcotics shipment is the user of SkyEcc PIN BJFJ6H (identified in the use of the investigated Rexhep Rraja), it is stated in the SPAK file.
Father is a member of parliament, son organizes drug trafficking
The time for which SPAK accuses Rexhep Rraja of being involved in drug trafficking coincides with the time when his father, Rrahman Rraja, was a member of the Socialist Party. Rrahman Rraja was elected to the Albanian Parliament for two consecutive terms, in the 2017 and 2021 elections. In the 2021 elections, Rraja received 7,759 preferential votes. Another piece of evidence that supports the opposition's case that Edi Rama and the Socialist Party bought the elections with drug money.
Rraja handed over his mandate as a member of parliament in July 2023, retiring from politics due to a family scandal, the barbaric violence of his family members against two cousins, Bilbil and Jashar Maja, over a quarry. He resigned two days after the serious incident, on 08.07.2023, with a public reaction.
Before becoming an MP, Rrahman Rraja was the Mayor of Nikël Municipality for 12 consecutive years, from 2003 to 2015. From 2015-2017, he was the Deputy Mayor of Krujë Municipality.
