Student poisoning/ Director of the AKU: Vinegar cannot have worms because it is acidic!

This Thursday, May 7, it was reported that 56 Security Academy students were rushed to the hospital around midnight with severe symptoms after consuming lunch.
The Director of the National Food Authority (AKU), Blerina Gjylameti, stated on the "Opinion" show on TV Klan that inspection teams immediately went to the field to take samples of food and drinking water.
According to Gjylameti, final answers on the cause of the poisoning are expected to come out in 10 days.
Regarding some images that circulated online of vinegar with worms being served to Academy students, Gjylameti has denied the news, saying that vinegar cannot have worms, as according to her it is acidic.
Blendi Fevziu: You are busy investigating the case today, what really happened?
Blerina Gjylameti: In fact, we received a notification in the late evening hours about what had happened. We were notified by the company administrator and all the inspection bodies were on the ground to see what had really happened. What is important is that all the institutions were there to closely investigate what had happened, whether it was the inspection part of the AKU to take the relevant samples and to verify the way that food was offered and to guarantee that food safety had not been violated, but also representatives of the IHP and the Health Operator, but also of the State Police to see what had really happened. Samples were taken there, from the food that was left, on the other hand we inspected where the food was cooked. We will understand this after 10 days, because it is very important to wait for the results of the analyses of the samples taken of food, but not only, but also of the drinking water. To determine to the end all the hygienic and sanitary conditions in which the food was provided, processed and served. Everyone reacted in a timely manner.

Blerina Gjylameti: Due to the acidity, vinegar cannot have that, but nevertheless we have denied this. We have not received and have not found any vinegar samples. Meanwhile, on the other hand, we also received news from the administrator of the Academy that there was no such vinegar.
