Poisoning at the Security Academy/Xama: Nikolin Jaka's company won €44

Around 56 students of the Security Academy in Tirana presented with symptoms of poisoning after consuming lunch the day before.

Journalist Ola Xama stated that the poisoning is suspected to have come from the catering service provided by the company "Sori-Al", linked to the head of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Nikolin Jaka.

According to her, for years she has been winning major catering tenders in military units and nurseries.

"The company 'Sori-Al', together with the company AGS, which are owned by Alma Tafani and previously had ownership ties with Nikolin Jaka, have benefited from around 44 million euros in tenders in the field of food distribution and laundry from 2018 to date.

Around 18.8 million euros are contracts for food in hospitals, while 12.2 million euros are contracts for the Police Academy and military units. Another company, AGS, has won around 4 million euros in tenders for the supply of food to nurseries and kindergartens.

"If we talk about the tender market in hospitals, military units, the Security Academy, nurseries and kindergartens, these companies own a significant share of the market, about 25% of it," said Xama on the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV.
