Another reaction from the political class on the serious tragedy in Durrës, where 2 children lost their lives and another was injured, after being hit by a vehicle, came from SP MP Erion Braçe.
In a message on social media, while sharing the disturbing video, where the driver of the vehicle, 57-year-old Nikoll Radaçi, is seen driving at breakneck speed and taking money from children playing on the sidewalk, Braçe writes that this event should be treated as intentional murder by the judiciary.
Braçe calls for immediate changes to the Traffic and Criminal Codes, underlining that only through strong punishments can such cases be stopped.
It also calls for concrete measures for safety in residential areas, from real speed limits to the creation of safe spaces for children.
