After the tragic accident that shocked Durrës and the entire public opinion, in which two children lost their lives and another was seriously injured, the children of the perpetrator of the incident, 57-year-old Nikoll Radaçi, have reacted for the first time.
His daughter and son express their deep sorrow and publicly apologize to the families of the victims for the grave tragedy that occurred.
"Today we stand before the families of the victims with great pain and a heavy burden on our hearts. On behalf of ourselves and our family, we publicly apologize for the tragedy that has occurred," they said.
They emphasize that they are aware that no words can ease the pain of the families who lost their children, while they describe this event as a wound that will remain forever.
"We know that no apology can bring back the lives lost. However, we feel a moral and human obligation to bow with deep respect and express our most sincere regret," the message continues.
In their response, they emphasize that they are not seeking excuses or avoiding responsibility for what happened, expressing their willingness to face justice and support the affected families in every way possible.
A special appeal is addressed directly to the families of the victims:
"We apologize with all our hearts. Your pain is unimaginable and unjust."
We recall that the tragic accident occurred in neighborhood no. 15 in Durrës, where the 57-year-old, driving a “Benz ML” vehicle while intoxicated, lost control and hit three children who were playing on the sidewalk. As a result, two of them lost their lives, while another remains in serious condition at the Trauma Hospital.
The event has caused strong public reactions and opened a wide debate on road safety and individual responsibility.
In this context, it is important to emphasize that responsibility for such an act is individual.
