Wanted by Germany/ Albanian, member of the "Cekiç Gang", arrested in France

French police have arrested a suspected member of the far-left "Hammer Gang" , the BILD newspaper reports .
According to foreign media reports, this is the Albanian Rexhino A, also known by the nickname "Gino", who was wanted on a German arrest warrant, as it is suspected that in February 2023, together with other left-wing extremists of the so-called "Hammerbande" (Hammer Gang), among them Maja T. 24 years old and Lina E. attacked neo-Nazis in Budapest, seriously injuring them.
“Gino” was arrested again in November, but was released in the spring of 2025. At that time, France had refused to extradite him to Hungary. Maja T. is currently on trial in Hungary as a member of the “Cekiçi Gang.”
In Germany, in the city of Dresden, a trial is currently underway against the alleged leader of the “Hammer Gang”, Johann Guntermann (32 years old). Meanwhile, Lina E. has already been sentenced to several years in prison.
The lawyer of Albanian Rexhino A. has expressed fear that, if his client is transferred to Germany, he will then be extradited to Hungary, as happened with Maja T.. The latter was transferred to Hungary in the summer of 2024, but the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany later declared this action illegal.
