Another strong earthquake shakes southeastern Albania, residents of Korça and Bilisht on alert

The southeast of the country is not finding peace this Wednesday evening. Another powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7 on the Richter scale was recorded this evening, at around 23:10.

According to seismological data, the epicenter of the earthquake was about 87 kilometers southeast of Elbasan and about 8 kilometers east of Korça, and 5 kilometers northeast of the city of Bilisht.

Meanwhile, the depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometers, making it felt in surrounding areas.

The earthquake was felt lightly by residents, but so far there have been no reports of material damage or injuries. Authorities continue to monitor the situation, while citizens are advised to remain calm and follow official announcements.
