Iran strikes UAE oil port, Abu Dhabi responds with missiles: Treacherous aggression!

The situation in the Strait of Hormuz has escalated significantly, after a South Korean merchant ship was hit by an explosion, while an oil port in the United Arab Emirates was engulfed in flames after a suspected Iranian drone attack.
According to reports, the HMM Namu, operated by HMM, suffered an explosion and fire on board while in the strait. South Korean authorities confirmed the incident but did not report any casualties, while an investigation is underway to determine whether it was a deliberate attack.
At the same time, a fire broke out at an oil facility in the port of Fujairah, a key export point for energy in the region, after a drone attack suspected to have been carried out by Iran.
The events come at a time of high tension between the United States and Iran, after President Donald Trump announced the launch of a naval operation to reopen the strait to international oil transport.
The US Central Command said that two US merchant ships had safely passed through the strait, supported by warships. However, Iran's Revolutionary Guards rejected these claims, saying that no ships had passed through and calling the US statements untrue.
In an official statement, the Emirates Foreign Ministry stressed that the country reserves the "full and legitimate right" to respond to any potential Iranian attack, considering it a direct threat to national security.
The United Arab Emirates condemned what it called "renewed Iranian treacherous aggression" targeting civilian sites that left three people injured and called for an immediate cessation of attacks.
"These attacks represent a dangerous escalation and an unacceptable violation," the UAE foreign ministry said in a statement to X.
The United Arab Emirates said its air defenses were facing missile and drone threats on Monday evening, as firefighters battled a blaze at a large oil industry site after a drone attack, which authorities said originated from Iran.
According to flight tracking service Flightradar24, several flights bound for the United Arab Emirates were diverted to Muscat, Oman, while other incoming planes flew over Saudi Arabia after the attacks caused major air traffic disruptions.
