US-Iran crisis hits markets/ Fuel prices rise by around 50% in the US

Fuel prices in the United States have risen sharply since late February, a period when tensions with Iran began to escalate.
According to data published by AAA, the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline has reached $4.45. In the last week alone, the increase is about 34 cents per gallon, while compared to the end of February, the price has increased by $1.47, or about 49.3%.
According to market analysts, this increase is related to uncertainties in global energy markets following the escalation of the conflict. The situation in the Middle East has directly impacted fears about oil supplies and price stability.
Energy experts explain that markets react quickly in cases of geopolitical tensions, leading to immediate price increases due to the risk of supply disruptions from major producing regions.
