Tragic in Turkey! 26-year-old lawyer shot to death, sued merchant for 95,000 euro debt, young man executes her

A serious incident has shocked Turkey where 26-year-old lawyer Hatice Kocaefe was shot to death by citizen Haki Cetin , who owed 95,000 euros to her sister, from whom she had bought pears.

Turkish media reports that Cetin killed the young lawyer after she initiated legal proceedings against him regarding a debt of thousands of euros.

It is previously suspected that Cetin threatened both sisters over the phone, demanding that they withdraw the legal proceedings against him. But Kocaefe responded negatively and insisted that he would continue the proceedings for the lawsuit as normal.

Hakkı Çetin sold pears to Elif Kocaefe, who owns a cold storage facility. After making the payment, Çetin bought crates of pears worth 5 million liras from her to be used in exports, but without paying her the debt.

A dispute arose between Kocaefe and Hakkı Çetin when he initiated legal proceedings through her sister, Hatice Kocaefe, a lawyer registered with the Istanbul Bar Association. According to the allegations, Çetin threatened the sisters over the phone and demanded that the execution proceedings initiated against him be withdrawn.

As a result of the situation, on Monday of last week, April 27, Cetini ambushed the two sisters while they were with their father and brother outside a warehouse they owned.

As can be seen from the footage, Cetini shot from inside his car at the lawyer who was walking and received a large wound to the chest that cost her her life. It is learned that the lawyer's sister, to whom the Turk owed money, was also injured.

Claiming that the incident was not planned, the murder suspect told investigators that he did not intend to kill the lawyer. "I did not set up an ambush; I saw him by chance. I shot him in the legs without getting out of the car."

Cetin also argued that his intention was not to kill her, claiming that he accidentally shot the lawyer.
