According to Turkish media, the incident occurred at noon on Saturday, when the 58-year-old shot her daughter-in-law twice in the head, killing her on the spot.
It is reported that after the crime, the perpetrator went out onto the balcony of the apartment and shouted: "I killed my bride, I cleansed my honor," while waiting for the police to arrive, smoking a cigarette.
The motive for the crime is related to the 58-year-old's suspicions that the bride was cheating on her son, who has been in prison for six years.
During her testimony, she stated that she had an argument with the victim, accusing her of betrayal, and after the latter did not react, she took the gun and shot her.
The media also report that the author had discovered messages that, according to her, reinforced suspicions of infidelity on the part of the bride, with whom her son had two children.
