The services sector continues its positive trend in the third quarter of 2025, marking an increase in both net sales and employment and wages, compared to the same period in 2024.

Net sales in volume increased in almost all service activities. The strongest growth was recorded in real estate activity with 38.0%, followed by bar-restaurants with 10.6% and hotels with 7.2%. Information and communication also recorded positive performance with 8.1%, as well as architectural and engineering activities with 4.6%. Meanwhile, more modest growth was observed in legal and accounting services, with only 0.2%.

The labor market in the services sector also appears to be improving. Employment increased most in hotels by 7.3%, wholesale and retail trade by 4.4%, and in transport, storage and postal services by 3.9%. The exception is security and investigation activities, where employment decreased by 1.1%.

Wages increased significantly across all activities, reflecting rising pressure from labor costs. The highest increases were in hotels (26.2%), real estate (29.4%), and wholesale and retail trade (14.5%). More limited growth was recorded in security and investigation activities, at only 0.6%.

Data show that the services sector remains one of the main pillars of economic growth, driven particularly by tourism, real estate and activities related to urban services./ SCAN
