Prime Minister Rama said he may expel Elisa Spiropali from the Socialist Party parliamentary group for her critical stances on Facebook regarding governance. Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha is not allowing former MP Ervin Salianji, National Council member Alesia Balliu and his main supporter during the 2021 and 2022 Foltore campaign, Evi Kokolari, to run for party chairman.
Prime Minister Rama has made it clear that he will not allow voices criticizing the Socialist Party within it. He has somehow achieved his goal and no one from the socialist parliamentary group or the hundreds of members of the Socialist Assembly has said anything about the way he governs, about how the Socialist Party defended Deputy Prime Minister Balluku in complete incoherence with previous positions. Former Prime Minister Berisha has long considered Ervin Salianji a self-excluded person and accuses him of links to organized crime or of actions in the service of the government.
It is clear that former Prime Minister Berisha seeks to prevent anyone within the parliamentary group and within the hundreds of members of the National Council from criticizing him or having an opinion different from his on the DP, the path it should follow or the way it should behave.
He, like Rama, perhaps even more, has achieved his goal. Nobody says anything.
Cass Sunstein, a law professor at the University of Chicago, has tried to understand why different social groups, societies themselves, can reach and become fundamentalists. He has written a book “Why Societies Need Different Thinking” packed with professional terms and scientific findings on this matter.
He has studied thousands of decisions of the US Courts of Appeal.
The panels of the Court of Appeals are composed of three judges. Sunstein has observed that in cases where the panel has been composed of two liberal judges and one conservative or two conservative judges and one liberal, the majority decisions are much more moderate than when the panel is composed of three liberals or three conservatives.
Sunstein, analyzing all the opinions of the majority and minority in judicial bodies, says that the two majority judges are influenced by the opinion of the minority judge and in almost every case moderate their position.
In the case when the body consists of three liberal or conservative judges, the opinion is very radical. He has noticed that their opinion becomes increasingly radical in the absence of a different opinion. Terrorism and violence, says Sunstein, are the result of intolerance of different opinion.
The suppression of this opinion leads to the devaluation of other facts or arguments and undermines decision-making.

Në Shqipëri kjo shtypje e mendimit ndryshe ka prodhuar një lëngatë të gjatë dhe të vazhdueshme. Dëshmi është kjo sjellje në PD dhe PS sot, dëshmi është mënyra se si në rresht të gjithë deputetët e PS dhe të PD në parlament jo vetëm i thonë gjërat në linjën e Ramës dhe të Berishës, por i përsërisin ato gati në një lloj duke ardhur në një trajektore gjithnjë e më të ashpër.
Dëshmi është parlamenti, apo edhe kandidatët për anëtarë të FRESH-it. Një nga promovuesit më të thekshëm të kësaj mënyre të vepruari është kryeministri. Ka dhe shumë të tjerë.
Kryeministri nuk pranon asnjëherë një kritikë, nga askush. Disa kohë më parë, kur vendi shihte përditë të shpërthenin bomba me telekomandë, ai shprehej “se rendi është vendosur dhe se këmba e krimit në polici është hequr. Vrasja me bomba është larja e hesapeve para se të bien në duart e policisë që iu është qepur këmba-këmbës”.
Në një rast tjetër u shpreh se “gjendja e lartë e kriminalitetit është vetëm në mendjet e gazetarëve”.
Në lidhje me kritikat që i bëheshin ose bëhen nga mediat, ai flet për kazan. Denoncimet për trafik me avionë i quante mushkonja.

An ideologue of the Communist Party in the Soviet Union once said that thinking differently is a quality of the bourgeoisie. This is how we seem to see it in us too.
These are the greatest diseases of a society, diseases that destroy every freedom, trample every right, and turn liberal democracy into a caricature.
These diseases have produced fascism, communism, and every other form of totalitarianism.
Our politics today has the potential to produce quite ugly totalitarianisms, despite the context making it seem impossible.
