"300 apartments in Balluk, 104 years of work for a young man",

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during his speech from the podium called for a protest on May 8, inviting young people and citizens to take to the streets for, as he put it, "their future."

In his statement, Berisha described the economic situation in the country as difficult for young people, arguing that buying an apartment in Tirana requires, according to him, decades of work.

He accused the government led by Prime Minister Edi Rama of corruption and mismanagement, and raised allegations of unjustified wealth of several officials and individuals connected to the public administration, including institutions such as the Albanian National Agency for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Berisha called on young people and parents to join the protest, citing issues such as low wages, the price of fuel, and the quality of public services.

Berisha: As evidenced by numerous statements by European officials, as evidenced in the IDU resolution that was signed thanks to the opposition.

As evidenced by the IBAR report, which is reviewed every week in Brussels, but the week has not yet passed and every week the most just demands against Albania become more severe because Albania is the only country that uses parliament as a shield for theft and crime.

Tonight I have a call for every young Albanian.

Being young and building a life in Albania is, in fact, an almost impossible mission today.

Not because of your incompetence as they often try to tell you, nor because of your laziness.

But how can you build a life in a country where Lubi Balluku owns 300 apartments, while a young man needs 104 years of work to buy an apartment in the capital.

How can you build a life in a country where Ergys Agasi, Edi Rama's coordinator with drug cartels and organized crime, owns over 20 types of assets, apartments, garages, land, forests, resorts, luxury vehicles, all assets built from money stolen from citizens, from the crime money that he shares with Edi Rama.

How can you build a life in a country where Linda Karçanaj of AKSHI is taken under protection one day by Edi Rama and declares that she lives in a rented house and a few weeks later apartments, villas in different cities, olive groves, luxury vehicles, numerous bank accounts appear, all owned by Linda of AKSHI, all this money stolen from Albanian citizens.

All this money is based on the mafia's hostage-taking of businessmen so that they don't dare compete in tenders where the big shark Armand Frangu, Linda Rama's brother-in-law, is competing.

How can you build a life in a country where the Rama couple, Edvini and Linda, with their brother-in-law steal hundreds of millions of euros from the National Insurance Institute, Albanian taxpayers' money, as if it were their private garden.

Therefore, my call to every young person, on May 8th, with anger, with revolt, to take to the streets for their future.

My call to parents, especially to every parent who has children, but also those who have grandchildren, today more than ever you must protest for the lives and safety of your children.

You should protest low wages.

Protest the high price of oil and transportation, the miserable services they receive, and the expensive transportation.

Happening now...
