"The mayor should not run alone", Lubonja criticizes Berisha: He made

Analyst Fatos Lubonja believes that a party leader should never compete alone in a party race, but should allow for openness.

He criticized the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, for failing to unite the opposition in a single front and for creating more divisions in the party through self-exclusions.

While commenting on "Studio 24" on the situation in the Democratic Party and its election campaign, he shared some thoughts while analyzing it.

"There has never been a time for a leader to be alone, there must always be competitors. My idea is this, I have been and remain, the time has come for the opposition to create a large community to restore rules and democracy. So the DP and all the others to unite and create a front. This spirit of cooperation excludes the idea that within the DP itself it will be further divided, that there will be no people, so that there will be more space. In this aspect, I see that Berisha is a problem, in the sense that he has not worked enough to unite these others. Self-exclusion seems even worse to me, a division of the party", he commented for "News 24".

For Lubonja, the opposition should also unite with those parties that are opposed to the political project, because this gives the idea of unity and not division.

"Even the other parties that were born were born against the DP, I say that those of Lapaj, Shehaj, possibly even that of Qori, are you able to unite them all, to create a union, this should be the dimension of the DP and in my opinion Berisha does not have this dimension. But Salianji did not come out like that, the conflict brought the conflict and was not listened to, we came here. Why should this signal be given, we should be loyal and no one else, no. You should put up a front, unite the party, but why doesn't Berisha do it? Maybe he thinks that the party is being divided, or the idea is created that an attempt is being made to divide the DP and we know that Rama is working to divide the DP. Why don't other more trustworthy people come forward at least?", he continued his analysis.

Finally, Lubonja proposed that the statutes of parties, mainly the major forces, the SP and the DP, should provide for no more than 8 years for the mandate of a party leader.

"With this experience that we have, every leader, not only Berisha, but also Rama and others, in those statutes should be a chairman, not to stay more than 8 years as chairman, he should not stay. I am saying it as a political ideal, because with realpolitik we are in this situation that Berisha says, where the DP is now with six parties," he said.
