Berisha goes to SPAK to enforce the mandatory reporting measure

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, appeared this Monday morning at the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) in implementation of the mandatory appearance measure within the framework of the "Partizani" file.

He was accompanied by his lawyer, Genc Gjokutaj.

Sali Berisha is accused of having, in his capacity as prime minister at the time, taken concrete actions in approving laws and bylaws, where his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, was also a beneficiary for the construction of palaces on the site of the former Partizani sports complex.

Malltezi is also under indictment for corruption, but also for money laundering.

According to SPAK, he has benefited from income worth 5.4 million euros from a construction business in an irregular manner thanks to government decisions made by his father-in-law.
