Dash Shehi: Salianji has caught the trend in the DP, they don't want Berisha anymore!
The head of the LZHK, Dashamir Shehi, has described former Democratic MP Ervin Salianji, who attempted to run for the leadership of the DP, but was not considered by KOKOE, as an anti-peak and a product of Bershi. But despite his personal conviction, he appreciates him for the courage that he is trying to challenge the status quo in the DP, as other democratic figures have done before. He also emphasized that within the DP there have been continuous groups that have opposed the leadership, but that have often failed or left.
"Even this Salianji, who I don't like sometimes, I have some kind of antipathy to say the truth, because he is a character produced by the Bershi mentality himself. But anyway, I wish you good luck because after all, after a long time, he has found the courage to say some of those truths there, because this is not the first time that this has happened to the DP. This started in 1992 and 1993 with the alliance for the first time and continued with us in 1997 and continued with Reformator 2001 and there have always been groups inside there that come out of there and rightly say no. Unfortunately, they have been unsuccessful, so much so that everyone is forced to leave the DP and the most successful of the last ones were these two new groups. It seems that the time has come, they seized the moment, the trend and increased 100 thousand votes and it is a good sign for democracy. From a practical point of view, perhaps it is not very positive for the opposition in opposition. But anyway, this is a path that will be crossed, there is no other way," Shehi said on A2 CNN.
In the A2 Puls studio with Bruna Çifligu on A2 CNN, he said that Berisha is concerned about any move that could unite the opposition outside his influence, aiming for complete control within the party.
"If you put a sign there, a small pivot, all this scattered straw of the opposition can gather here. A part of 10%, 20%. It shows that there are people who do not love Salinj, I will say with my experience that they may love a part, but they do not love Berisha and Berisha knows this job very well. He wants absolute power within his own yard. For us other oppositionists, this job remains that I, who am 30 years old, must leave the yard. In a village that does not listen, leave, the people say and that is what we have done. Then the people are yes, this is what the elder has always told that vote. But it does not matter. Maybe time will show that our path was right, premature. Not in the Albanian reality, this may be, but in any case there are no other paths because we would have walked them during these years. I would have preferred that the movement come from those deputies of the new generation who are there. There are many educated there. However, I also told Salianji that he never loved us, the older generation, I say there, because he thought that it belonged to these young people. In fact, these are the party's achievers, but anyway I call them positive and I may be one of those few last fools and idealists of politics who think it doesn't matter whether they love us or not.
