"Yesterday's SP rally, Rama's elegy, funeral", Berisha:

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted regarding the protests that have been taking place on the boulevard for 13 days, while yesterday there was also an event organized by the Socialist Party, within the framework of the 35th anniversary of the founding of this party.

In a communication with citizens on social networks, Berisha claimed that the youth protests are anti-party.

Among other things, he ironized Rama's rally, describing it as an elegy.

"Citizens, democrats who are following this conversation, once again, I express my boundless gratitude to you for the support, courage, and bravery you have shown over the past five years in support of the cause that I defended. Of Sali Berisha and his battle for human dignity. I want to guarantee you, to assure each of you that I undertook this most difficult battle of my life in some respects, but I undertook it to protect both my dignity and the dignity of those millions of Albanians who, in decades, had voted for Sali Berisha more than any other politician in this country. In this context, I believe that I did my duty as one of you.
And to conclude this, by once again sincerely thanking the administration of President Trump and Secretary Rubio for the correction they made to a completely unjust decision, I invite you to mobilize all our energies, to join in our great mission, the restoration of the free vote of Albanians and the deserved future for Albania and Albanians. Dear friends, for 13 days, Tirana and Albania have been experiencing the most extraordinary, most unprecedented, most magnificent civic youth movement in their history.

This movement in essence, in essence, which began for reasons and sensitivities of human rights, the animalistic dragging of the resident in Zvërnec, the complete lack of transparency for everything, for every development in that country and the barbed wire, this movement is in fact the most powerful movement that is facing the authoritarian dictatorship of Edi Rama, his narco-state. This movement that has within itself the greatest courage of the Albanian nation, whose bearers are the young Albanians.
It has within itself the highest national consciousness to free itself from an autocratic regime, which has transformed the elections into an electoral farce.
Which arrests the leaders of the opposition in the electoral year just like Zajedi of Tunisia.
Which has transformed the administration into political terrorists of the Albanian vote.
Which has stolen billions, billions of euros with his criminal organization and may today be with fabulous hidden wealth.
Don't forget one thing that an OSCE report stated in 2014 that Edi Rama has 200 million euros hidden in offshore banks, and all of this secured as mayor with building permits etc., imagine now when he put all of Albania on a plate how much he has.
Imagine! Imagine now how much he gets with the Port of Durres alone, which is a public asset equal to 4 billion euros and turns the City of 1001 nights into Dubai.

Imagine how much he has taken with the roads he builds at prices 6 to 10 times higher than in the EU. How much he has plundered with his AKSHI, where projects are disbursed to the wife's brother-in-law 100 percent when the works are zero or close to zero. This powerful civic protest is a protest blessed by God. Albanian youth stood up for all their brothers, sisters, peers who took away the dirt roads and their youthful, individual and family dream, because Albania did not give them shelter for their dream. The young men and women of Albania are protesting today because schools have been demolished and there is a terrible, shameful decline in education. Because their parents receive the most ridiculous pensions or the lowest salaries in Europe. Because Albania's hospitals are not third-world, but fourth-world hospitals with the most basic deficiencies. That all these policies actually constitute a genuine, silent genocide of this government towards Albanians. In conclusion, I call on every democrat, every voter, every citizen who has voted and votes for the DP, but also every Albanian who loves this country, who wants to live with dignity in this country and his children to continue their dream in this country, to support every protest. They need everyone's support. No pretext has the right to be used for not supporting them," said Berisha.
