Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has reacted after SPAK's announcement that Belinda Balluku's immunity was lifted by the Albanian Parliament.
In his reaction, Këlliçi described Balluku as an “exemplary kleptomaniac” and stressed the need for the Parliament to act without delay to lift her immunity. He emphasizes that this is only the first step and that the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama is an urgent necessity, to enable a process of state and social reflection on the way in which a structured criminal group managed to influence the highest levels of power.
Këlliçi underlines that the next step should be to create conditions for free elections, emphasizing that "there are no elections, much less EU membership, with Edi Rama and his criminalized clique."
