The director of Rrogozhina prison, Bilal Hasa, is released.
The news was confirmed to BalkanWeb by journalist Xhensila Kodra. Preliminary investigations suggest that Hasa has no connection to the two cannabis warehouses discovered in Peqin.
Meanwhile, investigations will continue at large for him, while his brother is wanted. After surrendering to the police yesterday, Hasa denied the allegations raised in the police report, stating that he has no connection to the illegal activity discovered in the building. It is learned that he claimed that he had not been to that facility for several months and that he had no knowledge of what might have been going on there.
During the inspections, two facilities adapted for the cultivation of narcotic plants using lamps were discovered in the basement of a warehouse, where around 4,000 cannabis plants had been planted.
Also seized were lamps, neon signs and other electrical equipment, which were suspected of being used to maintain this illegal activity. From the first investigative actions, the Police announced that the facility is owned by citizen Bilal Hasa, for whom a search was initially announced.
Within the same operation, for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office", a citizen with the initials EM, responsible for the OSHEE for the Peqin area, was also declared wanted. Operation "Kurtaj" continues under the direction of the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office, while investigators are working to document the entire scheme and to bring every person involved to criminal responsibility.
