Strong earthquake hits Greece, here's the magnitude

An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale was recorded on Friday morning (March 20), causing panic among residents of the city of Ioannina and Epirus.

The tremors were felt strongly, due to the shallow depth of the earthquake, which is estimated at around 20.3 kilometers.

According to the Geodynamic Institute at the National Observatory of Athens, the epicenter was about 10 kilometers north-northeast of the Agia Kyriaki area.

The earthquake occurred at 11:05 local time and, although it did not last long, was strong enough to disturb residents in Ioannina and surrounding areas.
