Iran warns Emirates: We will not tolerate an Israeli 'proxy' in the Persian Gulf

Iran will not tolerate the United Arab Emirates acting as an "Israeli proxy" in the Persian Gulf, declared Mohammad Eslami, a researcher at the University of Tehran.
According to him, the Emirates have chosen a role that puts them in opposition not only to Iran, but also to other regional actors.
"The Emirates are involved in several conflicts simultaneously, not only with the Iranians, but also with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman," he said.
Eslami assessed that this situation is increasingly isolating Abu Dhabi in the region and added that the United States should review its strategic approach.
"The global economy is being damaged. This is a fact. Americans need to reflect more on the lack of a clear strategy in this conflict," he said.
However, he stressed that Tehran is considering diplomatic solutions to the current crisis. "This does not mean surrender. Iran is thinking about political solutions," Eslami declared.
