US-Iran talks fail, Pakistan calls on sides to uphold their ceasefire commitment

Pakistan's foreign minister and deputy prime minister has spoken out about the failure of peace talks, saying his country will "continue to play its role to facilitate engagement and dialogue" between Iran and the US.
Ishaq Dar said: “We hope that both sides will continue in a positive spirit to achieve lasting peace and prosperity for the entire region and beyond.”
"It is imperative that the parties continue to uphold their commitment to a ceasefire."
"Pakistan has played and will continue to play its role in facilitating engagement and dialogue between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America in the coming days."
He added: “On behalf of Pakistan, I would like to express gratitude to both sides for appreciating Pakistan’s efforts to help achieve the ceasefire and its mediating role.”
