"Will you choose prison or resignation?" Journalist

After the government meeting, Prime Minister Edi Rama responded to journalists regarding the protest being held against the construction of a luxury resort in Zvërnec, Vlora.

Asked about the possibility of negotiations with the protesters, Rama said that he invites only those who voted for him to speak, while for the others he said that he knows them and knows who they are.

The Prime Minister also responded to the question regarding the calls of protesters demanding prison for him, stating that the time when people were shown prison on the street is behind them. He also said that there is SPAK, which according to him does its job in the service of justice.

Rama: I will not answer because I will be considered a person who does not respect the media, because it is not ethical.  Those who come and protest, I know very well that they are Albanians. I have no invitation for those who demand my unconditional resignation. I know who they are and how they operate.

I have it with those who are part of that crowd who have no connection with those in the past and do not come out on the boulevard for my resignation.

As for prison, we have left behind the time when people were shown prison on the street. I have led the greatest historical battle for Albanians, paving the way for justice reform and we have given life to a structure that is very independent of me, which works in the service of justice.

Even these speculations do not impress me, because it is a film that has the same ending. I feel sorry for those who follow those instigators and claim that in the same film they will see a different ending, where their character will triumph. This does not happen.
