The U21 national team suffers a minimal loss against Turkey, Kryeziu evaluates the Dardanians' performance

Kosovo U21 suffered a narrow 1:0 defeat in a friendly match against Turkey U21, held in Istanbul. Despite their great commitment and numerous chances created, especially in the first half, the young Dardanians failed to capitalize on their opportunities, while the home team took advantage of an opportunity to secure the victory.

After the match ended, coach Hekuran Kryeziu and player Igball Jashari gave their assessments of the game presented.

Kryeziu: We lacked luck, the first half was very positive

Kosovo U21 coach Hekuran Kryeziu expressed his satisfaction with what the team showed on the field, although he admitted that luck was not on their side in crucial moments.

"In the first half we had several good chances to score, but I just don't know how lucky we were today that we didn't put the ball in the net. The second half had a lot of substitutions, so the flow of the game may have slowed down a bit. However, I believe it was a completely even match. The impressions are good, especially for the first half where we created several chances, which is very positive, just as there were good moments in the second half," said Kryeziu.

Jashari: Football punishes you if you don't score, but we are full of motivation for the next match

On the other hand, footballer Igball Jashari emphasized that the team deserved more from this match, but praised the character and motivation that the team has for the next challenge.

"We are satisfied with the commitment of each player without exception. We had some very good moments in the game, but in football there is an unwritten rule that if you don't score, you concede. In our best moment, we conceded that goal and the final score was 1:0. However, even though we lost, we remain positive because we played well and we are full of motivation for the next match against Luxembourg," said Jashari.

The U21 National Team will immediately shift their attention to the second friendly of this group, the one against Luxembourg, which will take place on June 6 at 17:00, at the FFK National Camp in Hajvali, where they aim to transfer this good performance into a positive result.
