The Special Court releases Xhelal Rraja from prison. The panel of judges composed of Erjon Bani, Flora Hajredinaj and Bib Ndreca accepted Rraja's request to replace the security measure from "prison arrest" to "house arrest".
The GJKKO has ordered that Xhelal Rraja will remain isolated in the apartment under police supervision and has prohibited the latter from communicating with other persons, except those with whom he shares the apartment.
Rraja is accused of participating in a structured criminal group and providing the conditions to commit murder.
Xhelal Rraja, the brother of former socialist MP Rrahman Rraja, according to SPAK, was part of the group of Durim Bami and Endrit Dokles, who attempted to assassinate another former socialist legislator Arben Ndoka.
The prosecution says that Durim Bami and Endrit Dokle, in collaboration with Xhelal Rraja and Markle Haka, hatched a plan to kill Ndoka.

Xhelal Rraja was also involved in the massive beating that occurred in Thumanë against two cousins, Jashar and Bilbil Maja, an event after which his brother, a member of parliament, resigned.
