An unusual incident occurred this afternoon at Frankfurt Airport , when a Lufthansa Boeing 787 Dreamliner suffered damage to the front of the support system .
According to preliminary information, the aircraft, which had only been in service for a year, was scheduled to operate flight LH450 from Frankfurt to Los Angeles . The incident occurred while the aircraft was parked at the departure gate and shortly before the passenger boarding process began.
The airline said that only crew members and ground service employees were on board at the time of the incident. As a result of the incident, 10 people were injured and are receiving medical treatment.
Due to damage to the aircraft, the flight to Los Angeles was canceled, while competent authorities and technical experts have launched investigations to determine the causes and circumstances of the incident.
