Google Pixel 10 with integrated AI challenges its rival Apple

Google is challenging its rival Apple with an artificial intelligence (AI) offensive just before the expected launch of new iPhone models.
The new Pixel 10 series features AI features like call translation and a "camera coach" that offers tips on photo composition, the company announced Wednesday in a press release.
In the more expensive Pixel 10 Pro models, AI is integrated directly into the camera, creating artificial details at high zoom levels.
Google also plans to offer health recommendations on the Pixel 4 smartwatch, under the Fitbit brand it previously acquired.
Apple has faced difficulties in the field of AI, being forced to postpone until next year the new version of the Siri assistant, which was expected to become more useful in everyday life thanks to access to user data.
Meanwhile, Google is deeply integrating its Gemini AI software into Pixel devices and other smartphones running the Android operating system, also produced by the company itself.
In recent years, Apple has introduced individual AI features for photos and text processing.
In another move against the competition, Google has added a "telephoto camera" to the base model of the Pixel 10, something that is often missing in this price category.
The American company has until now seen the Pixel phones as a kind of "prototype" to demonstrate the capabilities of the Android system. The market share of previous models has been small, partly because Google did not want to harm the business of its Android partners.
