The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has reacted from prison regarding the Special Court's reasoning for leaving him in prison. 

Meta states that judge Erjon Çela, whom he describes as SPAK's "notary", has written a lie when he says that the PL leader can intimidate witnesses who are members of the Freedom Party.

The former president emphasizes in his reaction that apart from Petrit Vasili, none of the SPAK witnesses is a member of the Freedom Party today. He further adds that Çela's reasoning is a justification for keeping him in prison.

It would not be worth it to publicly deal with Erjon Çela, who, although he is paid as a judge, is only acting as a SPAK notary for the third time, against me but also against the due process of law that he must guarantee as a judge.

But I cannot remain silent in the face of a brazen deception to write from him, according to the dictates of "Afërmendsh" (Altin Dumani), precisely the alibi that my release due to my function as President of the Freedom Party could lead to the intimidation of alleged witnesses, who are members of the Freedom Party.

I emphasize that apart from Mr. Petrit Vasili, none of the SPAK witnesses is a member of the Freedom Party today.

1. Endrit Braimllari, thanks to Dumani, is known worldwide for having become a staunch "Relina" and was on the list of deputies of the Socialist Party.

2. Eriol Braimllari, was dismissed from the Freedom Party in January 2024 for suspicious activities and is part of "Rilindja". He was even its vote counter in the last elections for the Socialist Party.

3. Elena Gaçe, the former financier of the SMI for 20 years since its founding, left in a strange way in the spring of 2024 and without handing over her very responsible duty, for which she was publicly called upon several times at that time. She was employed, according to her own account, in Endrit's (Braimllari's) business.

4. Mirela Merko, former chief financier of LSI 10 years ago. She has not been part of LSI for 6 years, but is part of the public administration.

5. Luan Rama, former Secretary General of the SMI, resigned in August 2021.

So, this claim of the prosecution, and surprisingly, but not so strangely, shamelessly confirmed by the notary who is paid as a judge, is a public fraud that seeks to justify my hostage-taking in the interests of Edi Rama's mafia regime.

We will maintain confidentiality until the preliminary hearing of the trial and then we will make public all the deceptions of "Afermendsh" and all the regime's creatures, which are supposedly "living evidence" but which in fact have nothing against Ilir Meta.

While the regime's deceitful creatures will be on trial every day by public opinion for their deceptions and the problems they have with the law and the truth.

These alleged "living evidence" of "Afermendshi" will be the real proof of the judicial farce of the century: ZERO evidence, ZERO criminal facts and ZERO witnesses against Ilir Meta.

The Freedom Party must escalate the denunciation of Edi Rama's blatant corruption affairs and his main affair: The Capture of Justice.

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime, GJKKO, published its reasoned decision regarding the non-replacement of the security measure "prison arrest" for the president of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta. The GJKKO emphasizes in the decision that the risk that Meta will influence evidence and witnesses is high.

It was further stated that the power and connections that Meta has created due to the functions he currently holds or has previously held, create practical opportunities to influence witnesses and 'poison' evidence. 

The GJKKO adds that Meta's position has worsened after the formalization of the charges and the completion of the investigations. For these reasons, the measure of "prison arrest" is still considered necessary and proportionate.
