The 40-year-old Albanian Pandeli Nakoleci, who murdered his wife yesterday in Volos, Greece, has been arrested. Protothema writes that Nakoleci was arrested at noon today in the city center.
Yesterday, Nakoleci escaped immediately after killing the mother of his four children with a knife.
Meanwhile, on Monday, August 25, the 36-year-old's autopsy is expected to be performed by the Thessaloniki Department of Forensic Medicine, where her body has already been transferred.
The murder of the Albanian woman in Volos
40-year-old Albanian, Pandeli Nakoleci has killed his 36-year-old wife, Marjola Nakoleci in Volos, Greece. After the serious incident, the perpetrator fled, while the murder took place in the building where they lived, on Konstanta Street. The quarrel between the couple began in their apartment and then they went down to the entrance of the building where they continued to fight, until he stabbed his wife in the neck and back.
The crime occurred in front of one of the four children, while the others were inside the apartment. The 16-year-old told police that she saw her father stab her mother with a knife. Greek media also reported that the victim died of blood loss, while the wound could have been caused by a knife or by hitting a glass window.
Pandeli Nakoleci has been accused in the past of participating in a criminal organization and violating drug laws, while at the end of June 2025 he was transferred by order of the prosecutor to a clinic for psychiatric examination, where he remained hospitalized.
