A tragic event has affected the city of Volos in Greece, where a 36-year-old woman, Marjena, lost her life violently. The suspected perpetrator of the incident is her husband, Pandeli Nakoleci, who was arrested by police at noon today, after several hours on the run.
The incident occurred in the presence of the couple's children, who were faced with a shocking sight. The victim's eldest daughter reacted on social media with a touching message:
"Ike, my mom... I will miss you so much. I know you are watching over us from above, but I, Dino, Melisa and Asimina love you endlessly. You will always be in our lives." This message was accompanied by several photos of her next to her late mother.
The alleged perpetrator, 40 years old, was a person with a troubled past and known to the authorities. He had previously been convicted of matters related to drug trafficking, giving false testimony and involvement in a criminal organization. According to reports, although he had shown disturbing behavior, he had no previous complaints of domestic violence.
Neighbors have stated that they had often heard loud noises coming from the couple's apartment, but it appears that the situation was never officially reported.
The victim's autopsy is expected to be performed in Thessaloniki in the coming days to determine the exact causes of her death.
