He killed the elderly man, the 64-year-old's testimony comes to light: I

The murder of 81-year-old Xhemal Meta, by a hammer blow to the head, in January of this year in the village of Qafë-Mollë, Tirana, had as its motive the theft of the victim's money to pay off a microloan.

The Tirana Prosecution Office has reached this conclusion against the neighbor accused of the crime, 64-year-old Isuf Hasa, by reclassifying the charge of "intentional murder" filed after the incident to "theft resulting in death." For this charge, the Tirana Court has recently accepted the transfer of the case to trial against Hasa, who has admitted to being the perpetrator of the crime.

According to the court decision provided by A2, on the day of the incident, the defendant Isuf Hasa was on his way to his daughters, who lived in Tirana and Vora, at 6 am, but stopped for a coffee at the apartment of the 81-year-old man, with whom they had been neighbors since 2003.

Isuf Hasa told investigators that he found a hammer outside his neighbor's apartment that he had hidden under his jacket. Afterwards, they had coffee together for 15 minutes, and as they went outside, Meta in front and Hasa behind, he shot him in the head, knocking him to the ground. After waiting 2-3 minutes, the 64-year-old also took the victim's wallet and went to the village cafe, where he had a coffee and a double shot of raki, before taking the van to the capital.

" I want to add that the reason I took this action was because citizen Xhemal Meta often told me that I was not a man because I stayed at work for 4 days without coming home and that I did not know what my wife was doing ," Hasa testified during the investigation.

He then confessed that the 81-year-old Mata had said this to him several times, even in the presence of his wife, and this had built up inside him. According to the investigation, Hasa took the murder weapon with him and hid it near the apartment of one of the girls, where it was found by the police.

During meetings with the girls, he left them amounts of money, 68 thousand lek to one and almost 120 thousand lek to the other, which were seized.

He ordered one of them to go and make monthly payments of 15 thousand lek on behalf of a microcredit he had received from a financial institution. In relation to the criminal offense for which Isuf Hasa is accused, the Criminal Code provides for a sentence of 15 years to life imprisonment./ A2CNN
