INSTAT's data on foreign trade show the countries with which Albania had the largest increase in imports and exports during July of this year, compared to the same period of the previous year. As for exports, it turns out that the largest increase was registered with Kosovo, with an increase of 72.5%, followed by Greece with 14.8% and Germany with 0.6%.

But what has Albania exported the most to these countries? In the case of Greece, the total value of exports by commodity group for July reached 2.7 billion lek, with the largest value being the export of the textile and footwear group. After this group, the highest exports were recorded for minerals, fuels and electricity, as well as food, beverages and tobacco. In the direction of Kosovo, the total value of exports for this month reached around 6.4 billion lek.

The largest exports were for the group of minerals, fuels and electricity, followed by food, beverages and tobacco, as well as chemical and plastic products. Meanwhile, for Germany, exports for July reached a value of approximately 1.9 billion lek, dominated by exports of textiles and footwear, as well as those of machinery, equipment and spare parts.

On the other hand, in terms of imports, the largest increase during this month compared to a year ago was recorded by China with 7.6%, Turkey with 12% and Greece with 5%. In the case of China, the total value of imports for the month of July by commodity group reached about 10.8 billion lek, with the largest share being imports of machinery, equipment and spare parts, followed by construction materials and metals.

In the case of Turkey, the total value of imports by commodity group for this month was around 8 billion lek, with construction materials and metals being the most imported. Meanwhile, food, beverages and tobacco, as well as chemical and plastic products, were mainly imported from Greece, while the total value of imports from this country for July reached 6.5 billion lek.
