Adela Sefa Maçi, National Director of SOS Children's Villages in Albania, has passed away prematurely after a serious illness.
The sad news was initially made public by the directorate where she worked.
"With deep sadness and great pain in our hearts, we inform you of the untimely passing of Mrs. Adela Sefa Maçi, National Director of SOS Children's Villages Albania," was the message from SOS Children's Villages Albania.
The sad news was also shared by the Minister of Health, Albana Koçiu. – “It is with great pain that I received the news of the passing of Adele, a valued professional in the field of care for children without parental care and an honored representative of SOS Villages.
On behalf of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, I express my most sincere condolences to the family, colleagues, collaborators and the entire SOS Villages community, who today feel the absence of a dedicated man, who for 22 years was close to children and young people, giving them love and care.
"Rest in peace, Adela Sefa!" Koçiu wrote in her message of condolence.
