School starts on September 8, dates published: Here's when the 9th grade and matura exams will take place

The new school year 2025-2026 will begin on September 8. Classes will open in early fall for all basic education students, i.e. the 9-year cycle and secondary school students.

The school cycle for primary education will end on June 12, 2026, while for high school graduates the school ends on May 29, 2026. State exams for 9th grade will take place from June 15 to 26, while for high school graduates they will be held from June 1 to 26, 2026.

Meanwhile, registrations for first and tenth grades remain open until August 31st through the e-Albania portal.

The official date announcements have also been published by Prime Minister Edi Rama, along with the basic school rules that must be followed by students, as well as a series of instructions regarding parent communication and cooperation with the school.
