Can a government with an autocratic leader be overthrown by an opposition with

On the eve of the resumption of the political season in September, there are two pieces of news that are being eagerly awaited: Rama's government cabinet and the "new" opposition cabinet, Berisha's.

We say "x" because both of them have formed many cabinets in their long political careers, both in government and in opposition, but what is remembered is only their absolute authority. The others around them come and go like shadows, without any prominent political identity.

Now, Edi Rama, after securing his fourth mandate and an absolute majority in parliament, is no longer trying to hide the fact that he is the Supreme and absolute Leader in the Socialist Party and the government. When a country (like Albania), whose people have chosen democracy as a political system, has an autocratic leader at the head of state, it is a great disaster. But this disaster turns into a trap, into a tragedy, when the leader of the opposition is also an authoritarian leader.

According to renowned political scientist Timothy Snyder, when an authoritarian leader leads an opposition force (as in the case of the DP, currently blocked by an uncontested leader like Sali Berisha), the culture of merit and responsibility is distorted:

- When a success occurs (massive protest, public support, a small victory), *the leader is glorified*.
- When there is a loss, stagnation, electoral failure or crisis of credibility, *blame is distributed*: "the structures made a mistake", "people betrayed us", "the people did not help us", "we did not have the conditions".

This model cultivates *fear, self-censorship, and a lack of real competition.* The opposition turns into a *passive and leader-dependent structure*, where no one dares to criticize the leadership, for fear of being accused of disunity or betrayal.

So, even *in the opposition*, an autocratic structure functions with the same logic: *the leader has the glory, others the responsibility.* This is exactly what is happening today in the DP, this is the political situation in Albania; a majority in power with an autocratic leader like Edi Rama and "opposite" it as an "alternative", an opposition led by an authoritarian and absolute leader like Sali Berisha.

But can one side of the coin eliminate the other side of the same coin?! Can a bad government with an autocratic leader be overthrown or defeated by an opposition, which is also led by an authoritarian leader like Sali Berisha, who only needs to "disappear" for 2 days and the party, with all its oppositionism, even as false and hypocritical as it is, is extinguished altogether?!
