Serbian Ambassador to the US, Marko Djuric, seeks international reaction after

Serbia's Ambassador to the US, Marko Djuric, has reacted sharply to the decision of the Central Election Commission in Pristina to not certify the Serbian List in the elections.

He called this action a "flagrant example of political engineering" that, according to him, aims to exclude the Serbian people from democratic life in Kosovo.

"By rejecting properly submitted candidacies that meet all legal requirements, the authorities in Pristina have once again violated the rule of law and revealed their true intention – to silence the legitimate voice of Serbs in Kosovo," Djuric wrote.

He stressed that such a discriminatory measure not only contradicts basic democratic principles, but also violates the dialogue agreements where, according to him, the right of Serbs to authentic political representation was guaranteed.

Djuric accused the Kosovo authorities of, instead of promoting coexistence and trust, "deepening divisions and undermining stability."

In the end, he said that Serbia strongly condemns this decision and called on international partners to react, warning that Belgrade will protect the rights and dignity of Serbs in Kosovo by all diplomatic and legal means.
