The Special Court's appeal rejects the temporary release of Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi

The Appeals Chamber of the Special Court has rejected the request of Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selim and Jakup Krasniqi to overturn the decision of the Constitutional Court that did not allow the temporary release of the Kosovo Liberation Army trio, as reported by Klan Kosova.

Their request to be temporarily released after the conclusion of the Specialized Prosecution's case was rejected by the Basic Court on May 13, 2025, while Veseli, Selimi and Krasniqi appealed the decision and temporarily waived their right to a bi-monthly review of their detention until the new decision.

Hashim Thaçi had not submitted such a request for temporary release at all, as another court case for attempted obstruction of justice is underway against him.
