The Constitutional Court publishes the verdict on the constitution of the Assembly of Kosovo

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo has published the full judgment regarding the issue of the constitution of the Assembly.
On August 8, the Constitutional Court ordered the Assembly to elect a new speaker of parliament within 30 days through open voting, putting the same candidate on the ballot no more than three times.
With the publication of the full verdict, the 30-day deadline begins, which means that deputies can gather from today to constitute the Assembly.
The issue addressed regarding the form of voting for the speaker of parliament was raised by the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Democratic League. However, the Court said that the requests of the cases are also related to the case previously submitted by the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.
PDK, LDK and AAK have opposed the May 1 decision of the chairman of the session, Avni Dehari, who changed the form of voting for the speaker of parliament from open to closed.
