Kosovo Police seize drugs worth 300 thousand euros

A person has been arrested after drugs worth around 300 thousand euros were found on him, Kosovo Police announced.

According to the announcement, HK (1994), was arrested in Prizren on August 11 and during the checks carried out in two locations, the authorities found a suspected narcotic substance of cocaine, with a total weight of 4 kilograms and 440 grams.

The arrested person, after being interviewed, was sent to police custody for 48 hours.

"According to estimates, the seized quantity of narcotic substance, on the illegal market, could be worth up to 300 thousand euros," the Police statement said.

Authorities also said that as material evidence they have seized electronic scales, 260 euros in cash, equipment for vacuuming plastic bags, a telephone and a motorcycle, while the Police added that investigations into this case are continuing./REL
